On May 29, 2021, X Museum was pleased to invite Beijing LGBT Center to co–host a roundtable discussion before the closure of the exhibition. This roundtable encouraged the audiences to experience the complex networks of social identities in human life and share and discuss different perspectives on queerness, feminism, disability, and mental health through conversations with guests from different fields such as social innovation, public welfare, art, etcetera. Are we queer in the same way? Twenty guests from all walks of life, each with a different identity other than that of a sexual minority, shared their perspectives on the theme of “Queer Otherwise,” ranging from queerness and creativity, transgender and gender binary, queer families and relationships, as well as queerness as a voice. The discussion encouraged the participants to find their own answers to the complex thoughts and feelings on the multiple layers of queerness.About The Artists
