The first public program of the X ROOM series presented LIGGU’s solo project “2020, 2021, 2022.” In this project, the artist held a live performance in which the audiences were invited to complete a piece of art together by stomping on the works. The colors and texts buried beneath red oil paint were revealed by participants’ stompings. The footpads were highly industrialized products, symbolizing the connection between the value of the commodity and the artwork. The date and text were a reflection on time, encouraging people to reexamine time and existence. In this live performance, the artist, as an individual, brought together a wider audience to participate in the project and reformed the value and meaning of the work, welcoming our unresolved past, present, and future.About The Artists
